Newsletter der Root Foundation

Dear Friends, Partners and Supporters,

The Root Foundation Team belatedly wishes you a happy new year 2019! December and January have been bringing quite different kinds of events with them. On the one hand, there have been very positive highlights at Root Foundation - many among them realised or supported by partner organisations - such as:

- our great My Talent Show,

- trips to the "Campaign against Genocide Museum", to a Christmas Event for children with disabilities and even to Akagera Park,

- a Critical Thinking Workshop,

- the opportunity for more than 45 of our children to attend school this Academic Year which began in January and

- the start of Brass Music lessons!

On the other hand, it was in January that we were suddenly told to leave the building we have been working in since 2014 which we will do until 14 February! This sad news has caused a challenging situation that we had to deal with quickly. We are now renting a house with an outside area nearby in Batsinda at least for a few months. However, we want to strive for a more sustainable solution by getting our own space and creating our own building in the future! Therefore, we are happy about any support or advice and we plan to realise different fundraising ideas soon.

Please take a closer look into the attached newsletter if you are interested in details about the above-mentioned events.

Sincerely,

The Root Foundation Team
